Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between BCM and disaster recovery (DR)?

DR focuses on recovering IT systems after a disruption. BCM is broader: it covers the whole organisation (people, processes, locations, suppliers) to keep the business running, with DR as one of its components.

Is ISO 22301 mandatory in Indonesia?

Not in general, but it is increasingly requested by financial regulators, state-owned enterprise tenders, and multinational partners as evidence of operational readiness.

What are RTO and RPO?

RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is the maximum target time for a process to recover after a disruption. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is the maximum amount of data that may be lost, measured from the time of the last backup.

How long does ISO 22301 certification take after this result?

Organisations at Certification-ready are usually audit-ready within 1 to 3 months; the rest depends on the scale of the BIA and the number of critical processes covered.
